Hallucination


 Hallucinations are one of the most misunderstood symptoms in mental health. It’s time to separate fact from fiction.

Here is what you need to know about the real experience:

🔊 It’s mostly in the ears, not the eyes:

While visual hallucinations (seeing things) happen, auditory hallucinations (hearing voices or sounds) are actually the most common. 🖐️ It affects ALL five senses: A person can hallucinate smells (like smoke when there is no fire) or physical sensations (like bugs crawling on their skin).

🌱 If someone you know is experiencing this, arguing with them about what is "real" rarely helps.
