Anorexia
Definition:
An
eating disorder that involves severe food restriction due to their intense fear
of gaining weight.
Symptoms:
Physical Symptoms
1. Extreme
weight loss.
2. Fatigue.
3. Abnormal
blood counts.
Emotional/Behavioral Symptoms
1. Eating
very little or not eating at all.
2. Making
yourself vomit.
3. Exercising
excessively.
Causes:
1. Biological
factors: Some people may have genetic changes that put them at risk for
anorexia.
2. Psychological
factors: People with these psychological conditions (depression and OCD) may
have a higher risk of developing anorexia
3. Environmental
factors: Social experiences and cultural expectations may play a role in
anorexia.
Complications:
1. Anemia
