Definition:
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is a disorder marked by an ongoing pattern of
inattention and/or hyperactivity-impulsivity that interferes with functioning
or development.
Symptoms:
1. Being unable to sit
still, especially in calm or quiet surroundings.
- Being unable to concentrate on tasks.
- Excessive talking.
1. 1. Genes and hereditary: A
family member may have had ADHD which could have been passed on to another
person.
- Significant head injuries may cause ADHD in
some cases.
- Prenatal exposures, such as alcohol or nicotine from smoking, increase the risk of developing ADHD.
